Homemade Harvest 2015 Artist - Veronika Lisuk

Homemade Harvest 2015 Artist - Veronika Lisuk

With Homemade Harvest just around the corner, I thought it might be a nice time to get to know the artists that will be vending there.

I met Veronika Lisuk through my Women of Wisdom Eastside Facebook group. She contacted me there after I sent out my Call to Artists. We have several friends in common and I'm looking forward to seeing her beautiful yarn mandalas up close.

Tell us a bit about yourself? Apart from being ‘creative’ what do you do?
I am a mother and a wife and an artist at heart. I graduated from UW with a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary arts and truly that's my calling- any form of arts or crafts- I paint, draw, sew toys for my daughter, make clothes, upholstery. I also love to pass on my skill and teach others to make beautiful pieces for their homes, friends, their soul.

What inspires you to do the kind of work you do?
Colors of yarn, paints, colors of the world. I just want to make our life a little more beautiful and get inspired by the world itself.

Do you look up to anyone? Who? Why?
Full time mothers that have the time to explore their interests and have the courage to start a business inspire me.

What other passions do you have in your life?
I love to cook gourmet food and take lots of classes from PCC chefs and experiment at home. My family are my guinea pigs but I think they like it :)
